Members

VAMOS members volunteer their time and talents to promote the goals of the organization. Volunteers serve on various committees such as the Mentoring Committee, Fundraising Committee, Scholarship Committee and Board of Directors. There are no dues and membership is open to individuals and corporations with a passion for education.

Mentors

The VAMOS Mentoring Program is based on building strong relationships between the mentor and our scholarship recipients. We engage community stakeholders who foster a supportive and nurturing environment for our scholars. Through a wide range of strategies, such as social events, mentoring workshops, and periodic face-to-face meetings, the mentoring program is an integral component of our ever-strengthening VAMOS safety net. Our goal is to ensure that 100% of our scholars receive a college degree and obtain a career-track job.

Why your help is needed...

Increasingly, students of low-income backgrounds are graduating from high school academically prepared for college but are unable to enroll or stay in college due to their inability to finance their education. Today, more than ever, it is critical to our economy that young Hispanics obtain a degree in higher education.

VAMOS's principal goal is to foster and create a community of young educated and prepared leaders. Addressing our community's educational needs today will have an enormous impact on their children and next generations.

VAMOS needs your support in order to continue impacting the lives of our youth and future generations.
